2024 Reflection & 2025 Hopes

2024 and 2025

2024 was a wild ride. If I had a bingo card for the 2024 year, I would not have gotten a single square, well maybe one. Being pregnant for half of the year, living through a health scare with Bradley, giving birth to Olivia, taking Bradley to Preschool, and my dad in constant pain; this year has beat me up. This year has also made me a stronger, more patient, and more faithful woman and mom.

Through prayer and faith, I was shown that God doesn't just show up, He brings a lesson. I have learned so much this year. He is good and He will always be there. Prayer is a strong tool, and having prayer warriors is an even stronger blessing. We have so many loved ones walking with us in this life making sure we are okay. I am so grateful for those who are in our lives. Creating your village is essential to surviving this world.

During the 3 times we were in the hospital this year, 2 being me and 1 being Bradley I felt calm and safe. Even though there were some unknowns, I kept talking to God. Not once did I get mad or question Him, even though it was hard not to. I know God is always working and we are meant to trust, follow, and share Him.

2024 was a tough year, but we also had some amazing moments that I will cherish. We went to my favorite beach with the family. Bobby and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. Olivia was welcomed into the world as a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Bradley loves his Preschool and I get some one-on-one time with Livy. I went to some concerts; Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, Meghan Trainor, and Lainey Wilson which were all so great. I have started playing soccer again and with my sister. We have never been able to play together because of our age difference, but now it is so fun that we can. There is so much to be thankful for even when tough things happen. That is something my dad has taught me. He is in pain every day, but he still shows up for his family and provides us with laughs. You have to find the good in the bad.

My hope for 2025 is good health and fun experiences. We started looking at homes this year and I pray that in 2025 we find our next home so we can continue to grow as a family. I am excited to share that we are going to Wyoming and Montana in the summer. We will celebrate Olivia's first birthday and so much more. I pray we keep building our relationship with God and strengthen our family bond.

The top 10 goals for 2025 are below:

  1. Become closer to God and share His word more.

  2. Family first, kids over everything.

  3. More date nights

  4. More experiences and travel

  5. Prioritize my mental health and physical health

  6. Spend less, save more

  7. Back to reading before bed

  8. Create more activities for the kiddos to do

  9. Less TV time for everyone

  10. More family dinners

Goodbye 2024 and hello to 2025.
